Abstract

This paper explores the complex interplay between religious pluralism and secularism in contemporary society. It begins by defining both concepts and their historical contexts, highlighting the shifts in societal attitudes towards religion, particularly in the wake of the Enlightenment and the subsequent rise of modern secular states. The paper then examines the various ways in which religious pluralism and secularism are manifested in contemporary society, including the growth of religious diversity, the establishment of secular institutions, and the challenges faced by both religious and secular communities in navigating these complexities.
