Abstract

This paper explores the intersection of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) and media ethics, focusing on how CDA can be applied to examine the ethical dimensions of media discourse. By employing a CDA framework, the study delves into the ways in which media messages are constructed to influence public opinion and shape social identities. The analysis highlights the importance of ethical considerations in media representation, such as fairness, objectivity, and social responsibility. Furthermore, the paper discusses the potential challenges and limitations in applying CDA to media ethics research, and proposes strategies for addressing these issues. Through this investigation, the study aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the ethical implications of media discourse and to inform media professionals and scholars on the significance of ethical practices in the media industry.
